Overview

The Ambassador Certificate is for individuals who have completed the Ally and Advocate Certificate requirements and want to enact diversity initiatives in their areas.

Requirements

To complete the Ambassador Certificate program, participants must:

  • Submit a completed application form.
  • Include a detailed Project Plan Description for the 20-hour experiential project they will implement.
  • Attend a full-day workshop in the fall and a half-day workshop in the spring. These workshops include time for dialogue, project development, reflection, and conversations about how ambassadors can continue to cultivate and encourage a climate of civility, sensitivity, and mutual respect.
  • Provide a summary of their experiential project once completed.

Completed application forms for the Ambassador Certificate program must be returned to University Organizational and Professional Development via campus mail (0538), fax (540-231-6479), or email (uopd@vt.edu).
